Run-Down
Noi and I popped out this afternoon to buy some bananas, for frying purposes, from the market at Teban Gardens on the West Coast. We also enjoyed a cuppa with some tasty kueh whilst we were at it. Actually the whole of the market and the attendant hawker stalls and shops struck me as being a bit run down. Not exactly dirty, but by no means fresh and clean. It also struck me that I felt entirely at home there - I suppose sharing much in common.
