A Crimson Moment - 2

The first time I heard Waiting Man in the version from Beat  I didn't think all that much of it. After a while I sort of grew to like it. But then I heard and saw the version that opens Live in Frejus. A reminder that Crimso have always been the band for a hot date, and that what really counts is what happens in performance.

Dearest Mr Connor

Salam 'alaikum wr wb

I'm sending you this private message as I don't know of any other way to reach you.

My name is Harasha Bafana & I was one of your students at TKGS way back in 1990. You were our (supremely patient & good-natured) form teacher of 4 Arts 1 & I was the class chairman. I don't expect that you'd remember me, as you'd have since taught tens of thousands of students!

That was close to 30 years ago, Mr Connor, but your impact on us continues to be fondly remembered till today - publicly on Facebook by us, TK alumni, & in our private conversations.

Recently, about 30 of us from the class of '90 had a long-overdue reunion - & yes, your name kept cropping up in our fond recollections.

& Today, one of us (Aisha Hassan from '90), happened to see you take the stage at NTU's Convocation & shared it on Facebook - it was received with wild excitement by us (hahaa!). This must surely be a sign: we feel that we must find you & honour you. Hence my Google search that happily led me to your wonderful blog :)

Sir, will you do us the honour of agreeing to meet your former TKGS students in the near future? We could organise a get-together at someone's place or any place you prefer.
I will leave my contact number here (m: 8120 3431) & my email (Harasha@gmail.com) for ease of communication.

I sincerely hope to hear back from you - at your convenience, of course.

Thank you for reading this message. & May I say, at this very moment, my Heart is bursting with Joy & my eyes tearing up with Gratitude for the contributions you've made in our lives.

May Allah swt bless you & your beautiful family always. Ameen!

Warmly,
Harasha
