Final post relating to World Cup 2026: A good weekend to bring it all staggering to a close. Crazy game for 3rd/4th place which proved how wild things get when nobody is bogged down by considerations like results. And then a dull final, except it wasn't dull for anyone who knows a bit about how to play the game, which Spain did supremely well. And Argentina didn't.
Best moment for me: the look on Enso Fernandez's stupid face (I use the adjective in a forensic rather than insulting manner) when it finally occurred to him that he was about to take the long walk and all his histrionics were for nothing.)
